Pre-K
The Pre-Kindergarten class includes children that are five years old by December 2nd.
Daily Schedule
Morning Greeting, Attendance, Flag, Calendar, Music, Prayer, Color Song and Instruction of days work
- Readiness Rotation:
- Learning: Letter and sound recognition, number concepts, writing and journal skills, patterning, sequencing, rhyming and opposites
- Art: coloring, painting, cutting and gluing
- Activity Time: dramatic play, puzzles, manipulatives, Play-Doh and games
- Outside Play: large motor skill development
- Snack
- Enrichment: Spanish, science, Weekly Reader, Zoophonics, homework, sharing and Buddy Bear activity

Chapel
Being an Episcopal Nursery School, we incorporate into our class curriculum Christian values regarding family and friend relationships, sharing, and expressing one’s feelings. Songs are sung and stories are told.
All children attend Chapel Services each month. These services are led by the Director of Youth Ministries, The Reverend C. Susanne Wright-Nava of St. Edmund’s Episcopal Church, and include songs, prayers and most likely, a story or two. Chapel dates are published in the monthly newsletter. They are the first Monday and Tuesday of each month at 9:10. All parents are welcome! The children especially like it when it is their birthday, during Chapel they receive a special “Birthday Blessing.”
